Any type of mint is easy and forgiving to grow from seed. Besides mint, the only things I've ever been successful growing from seed are tomatoes and chives. Everything else dies as a seedling and I don't know why.

Mint is the most forgiving plant ever, in my experience, especially pineapple mint. Even when on the brink of dying, you can bring it back to a happy leafy critter who WANTS TO SPREAD EVERYWHERE.

I recommend seedlings. Although, sprouts from seeds I planted make me feel invincible and godlike even if they die as adolescents. if it turns into a viable adult producing yummy goodness, holy shit, I'm just ecstatic then. Even now, many years later.
